Reflections on Shimon Attie September 15

Shimon's work was very fascinating, especially his early work. His technique of projecting old images onto the modern day buildings in East Berlin really interested me. It is something I am open to trying. Shimon's advice on how to approach our sound space project was very insightful. I will definitely follow his comment about immersing yourself in the space from all different angles as I work on my piece. He summed sound up as a vector and we should act like sponges and a big ear when listening to it. Overall, he is an extremely talented artist who uses various mediums to convey his visions. After hearing him talk in class, I am very interested in hearing him speak again on September 27th.
